These people might require a bionic limb due to many different reasons. Some of these are; born without a limb, loss of limb in an accident, or the body part they have doesn't meet its ideal function.

A bionic limb can be made specially to suit the person's needs, it enables someone to gain/regain the features of a normal life. Many people who receive bionic limbs feel extremely grateful that they are able to have some of the features of an able-bodied person. E.g. allowing them to walk, play sport, and complete basic everyday movements. You can visit the Australian Academy of Science's page on bionic limbs to learn more.
